On Race Day, we invite breast cancer survivors to visit the Pink Ribbon Cafe and enjoy complimentary refreshments provided by Caribou Coffee and visit with local Zeta Tau Alpha & RE/Max volunteers. The Breast Cancer Survivor recognition program is sponsored by Zeta Tau Alpha & RE/Max.
Coffee and muffins will be served to survivors on a first come first serve basis. Take this opportunity to relax, meet other survivors and enjoy complimentary refreshments.
The Komen Race for the Cure® is unparalleled in the profound exhilaration that you feel when thousands of people come together in one great athletic burst of joy. Yet it might be that the heart and soul of this extraordinary day resides in the Award Ceremony. This ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. at Western Gateway Park. The Awards Ceremony brings together teams, sponsors, Race winners and top money-raisers. A group survivor picture will be taken at the stage at approximately 8:15 a.m. We celebrate how well we have worked together and progressed in the fight against breast cancer.
Survivors who wish to be recognized should mark this option on their entry form and stop by Packet Pick-Up to get a complimentary pink T-shirt and cap.
All Race participants may dedicate their run or walk to someone special by wearing a personalized placard. The In Honor of and In Memory of back signs will be available in the Survivor, Teams and Expo areas. Look for "Back Sign" banners.
